Stryten Energy, a US energy storage solutions provider, said it expects to operate 15 battery manufacturing and component facilities across the United States following its planned acquisition of C&D Technologies and Trojan Battery Co.
Georgia-based Stryten Energy said it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the two companies, together known as C&D Trojan. Jefferies is serving as sole financial adviser on the transaction.
The deal will create a combined manufacturer spanning lead- and lithium-based energy storage technologies. It is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approval. Stryten Energy did not disclose the financial terms.
The combined company will continue to be led by Stryten Energy’s chief executive and president, Mike Judd.
“This combination brings together two highly complementary organizations with a shared commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance energy storage solutions,” Judd said, adding that the deal would expand the company’s manufacturing footprint and strengthen its position across transportation, industrial, essential power, and military and government markets.
Following the close of the deal, Stryten Energy will operate 15 battery manufacturing and component facilities across the United States, supported by roughly 3,700 employees, alongside C&D Trojan’s existing plants in Mexico and China.
The company said it plans to expand production of absorbent glass mat (AGM) batteries to meet increased demand for hybrid and start-stop vehicle applications, as well as data center and telecom backup power markets.
Stryten Energy said the expanded manufacturing base would strengthen its ability to support US government programs and mission-critical infrastructure. It noted areas such as wheeled tactical vehicles, missile defense systems and submarines among the applications served.
