Bluetti is rushing to market its Apex 200, a portable power station in the mould of its earlier Apex 300 with key evolutions and differences, and a big drop in weight.
Bluetti said that in response to recent severe-weather outages in the US, it had opened “early access” with the Apex 200 designed for home emergency backup, RV travel, and off-grid living.
The Apex 200 line retains a large energy storage capacity with a new 2.56 kWh format, while dropping 11 kilograms in weight or a full 29%, from a heavyweight 38 kg with the Apex 300 to 27 kg (83.8 pounds to 59.5 lb). The difference in energy storage capacity is just around 200 Wh. In terms of dimensions, the new Apex 200 is about 34% smaller by volume than the Apex 300.

Continuous AC output of the Apex 200 is 3,200 W standalone, with up to 3,600 W with an expansion battery or active AC/solar input. The Apex 300 delivered a little more juice at 3,840 W continuous. In terms of input power, the Chinese manufacturer says its fast AC charging can take the Apex 200 to 80% charged in 46 minutes.
A significant boost is built-in DC ports as well. Whereas the Apex 300 offered an expansion unit to access DC ports, the Apex 200 now comes with two USB-C ports at 100 W and 140 W outputs, plus two legacy USB-A ports at 15 W each, for a total of 10 output ports.
There’s also the expansion battery angle, and Bluetti says compatible expansion batteries can take a single unit up to 33.28 kWh, while three units in parallel can reach up to 6 kW and approximately 100 kWh of total storage.
There are other small improvements as well. The four AC outlets are now independently controlled, allowing individual outlets to be switched off when they aren’t being used.
Bluetti Apex 200 pricing and availability
Bluetti so far has not released pricing, though sources have indicated to ESS News that it will fall somewhere in the range of $1,100-$1,150 during Bluetti’s early-bird offer.
The company said in a statement that final pricing will be announced when the Apex 200 officially launches in the U.S. on November 5.
Wider availability is expected, into Europe, Australia, and elsewhere, though without detailed confirmation.
Bluetti notes that early-access registration for the Apex 200 portable power station is now open through November 4, and those who register will “get first access to early-bird pricing details ahead of launch” and other early-bird goodies.
