Grupo Setta has launched a new line of battery energy storage system (BESS) solutions for industrial, commercial, critical infrastructure, and agricultural customers in Brazil. The company said the systems are designed to improve energy supply reliability, reduce operating costs, and optimize electricity consumption management.
The portfolio includes configurable systems combining batteries, bidirectional inverters, and energy management systems (EMS). Grupo Setta said the solutions can be adapted to different customer needs, including peak demand reduction, renewable energy surplus storage, and improved energy security.
The product range includes smaller systems such as the Setta Trene and larger-scale equipment such as the Setta Ori, which has a capacity of 5 MWh. The company also highlighted its proprietary transfer panel, which integrates the grid, generators, and renewable energy sources into a single control system.
Grupo Setta said its systems support multiple energy management strategies, including peak shaving, time shifting, renewable energy surplus utilization, zero-grid applications, and backup power during grid interruptions.
Vinicius Dias, CEO of Grupo Setta, said energy storage has become a central element of corporate energy management. He said the company combines in-house engineering with specialized support to provide technology that protects assets and reduces operational risks.
The company said its equipment complies with international safety standards, including UL and IEC certifications, and is designed for applications where electricity supply continuity is critical, including industries, hospitals, data centers, telecommunications, shopping centers, supermarkets, hotel networks, irrigation systems, processing plants, and cold storage facilities.
Grupo Setta said Brazil currently has about 685 MWh of installed BESS capacity, concentrated mainly in isolated systems. The company expects commercial and industrial adoption to accelerate in the coming years due to increasing demand for operational resilience and digital energy management.
The solutions will be presented at Intersolar South America 2026. Grupo Setta will also showcase electrical infrastructure equipment, monitoring and control solutions for photovoltaic plants, and digitalization tools for solar farms.
