Chinese inverter and energy storage manufacturer Deye has launched a new modular energy storage system for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. Named the 100/125kW‑2.5MW C&I ESS Solution, the system combines 100 kW or 125 kW power conversion system (PCS) units with a BOS-B Pro-A3 lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO) battery.
“Multiple units can be paralleled to scale system capacity up to 2.5 MW. Each BOS‑B Pro‑A3 battery cluster reaches 257.23 kWh of total energy, with up to 16 clusters connectable per PCS,” the company said in a statement. “This modular setup enables customers to start small and expand capacity incrementally according to business growth, avoiding over‑investment in upfront infrastructure.”
The system supports AC- and DC-coupled PV configurations, with eight- or 10-tracker MPPT modules supporting up to 250 kWp of PV capacity. Its battery has a recommended depth of discharge of 90% and is rated for at least 6,000 cycles at 25 C and 0.5C. The PCS reaches maximum efficiency of 98.5% and Euro efficiency of 97.8%.
“For mission‑critical C&I loads, power continuity and robust performance are non‑negotiable. This Deye C&I ESS features true 0 ms seamless switching built on architecture similar to online uninterruptible power supply (UPS),” the company added. “It eliminates power interruption, voltage sag and waveform distortion during grid failure. In off‑grid mode, the system supports 2 × peak power output lasting 12 seconds for reliable heavy‑load startup.”
The battery system measures 2,150 mm × 1,305 mm × 800 mm and weighs approximately 2,240 kg, with an IP20 enclosure rating. The MPPT modules measure 543 mm × 198 mm × 700–720 mm, weigh 41.75- 50.6 kg, and are rated IP65. The 100 kW and 125 kW PCS modules measure 543 mm × 310 mm × 775 mm, weigh 81.86 kg, and also carry an IP65 rating.
