Chinese manufacturer DoGo Power has launched two new grid-forming battery energy storage products, one aimed at larger C&I applications and one at utility-scale projects, alongside an AI-based software toolkit. The launch took place in Shanghai on Sept. 22.
On the utility-scale side, DoGo’s DG2000 is a 2.508 MWh product that packs its batteries into an AC-integrated 10 ft container weighing 25 tons. It uses 314 Ah LFP cells, with a two-hour duration. and an integrated liquid-cooled PCS, with grid-forming technology and virtual synchronous generator (VSG) implementation DoGo Power says a project can start at a two-hour duration and add DC expansion cabinets later to alter duration/C-rate. DoGo did not publish the power output on its web product page.
On the C&I side, DoGo’s DG1000 is a 900 kW / 1.672 MWh product that packs its batteries into an AC-integrated 10 ft container weighing up to 22 tons. It uses 314 Ah LFP cells, with an integrated liquid-cooled PCS, grid-forming technology and virtual synchronous generator (VSG) as well. The system can connect with PV, diesel generators, EV charging and the grid, while DoGo says it can switch between grid-connected and off-grid operation in 20 ms or less. The company pitches the system as replacing six 260 kWh-plus storage cabinets, a combiner cabinet, an on/off-grid cabinet and an isolation transformer with a single unit. The company pitched it for reducing initial CAPEX by 1.2 US cents/Wh.
In both products, fire safety certification includes active gas venting, explosion venting, aerogel isolation and aerosol/pack-level suppression.

DoGo Power also showed a suite of AI tools “to unlock commercial value via algorithms,” including simulators for planning and operational tools.
Costs
Platforms selling DoGo’s DG1000 have list prices starting at €260,000 EUR + VAT, or around €155.51 per kWh, and the equivalent of USD 176.82 / kW, before tax.
